Spirited, 21-year-old, Irish Australian singer songwriter, Kt, is no stranger to the entertainment space.  Born in Australia and raised in the beautiful Wicklow mountains in Ireland, she trained in dance, drama, classical voice, piano and composition before moving to Leeds to study Popular Music at Leeds Conservatoire.

Kt is a songwriter who sounds completely in control of her sound and creative vision. Playful yet introspective, her songs embrace her favourite aspects from her classical training and reflects her love of jazz, blues, funk, rock and pop. Taking inspiration from artists like Ray Charles, Amy Winehouse, Adele and Etta James to name but a few, Kt has created her own unique blend with haunting melodies, deeply personal and relatable lyrics and a sassy sense of fun. After working with the brilliant producer, Gavin Ralston at Silverwood Studios (R.I.P) on ‘Save yourself’, he described her as, ‘a distinctive musical voice, like Dolores O’Riordan from The Cranberries’.

Her soulful sounds speak of messy breakups, self-doubt and loss.  Songs like ‘Save Yourself’, and ‘Goodbye Farewell’ featuring CAMMY, are raw, mature and heartfelt.  With a relaxed vibe, ‘2 Minute Guy’ cheekily reflects on a women’s unmet sexual needs and is a call to all women to speak up for what they want. She brings all the confidence a girl could need in the empowering Pop Soul anthem, ‘I’m Damn Fine’, which celebrates learning to love herself.

Kt is accomplished at ballet, drama and musical theatre and has been performing in choirs and studying music since age 5. In 2013, for performance in singing and piano, she was awarded a Wesley College music scholarship.  She studied classical voice under Mary Brennan, piano under Izumi Kimura and composition under Dr. Jesse Ronneau.  A love of literature and poetry sparked an interest in lyric writing which was an easy jump into song-writing.

Kt is now preparing to release her debut EP, Pixels, in 2023. The songs of Pixels, draw on scattered fragments from different life experiences, with magnetic powerful vocals at its core.  The tracks never lose sight of Kt’s desire to relate as a friend, to be a pressure tonic and to be an advocate for empowerment.

Currently, she is recording her EP, writing new material, collaborating with other songwriters and lining up gigs with the Leeds based, genre redefining band, 'Dorothy Vader'.
